The Aesop Queer Library
Founded on a belief in the transformative power of queer storytelling, the Aesop Queer Library returns to select stores in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany and Australia. The ephemeral installation offers complimentary books by LGBTQIA+ authors and allies, no purchase required.
In other words—liberation through self-expression
This year, the Library celebrates the liberating possibilities of LGBTQIA+ self-expression, and the stories that can be found beyond hetero-normative constraints and expectations. From 11 to 15 June at Aesop Prahran, visitors may select a complimentary book by an LGBTQIA+ author, until they run out.
The reading list
As in years past, we have partnered with Penguin Random House and local independent bookshops to source titles from a diverse range of queer authors.
Aesop Prahran
Aesop Prahran is situated on a street with a long history of hosting food, fashion and music venues and retailers, from the dearly missed Continental Café to the stalwart Greville Records.
